my own little finger sucker

emma has finally found how to, how should i say, 'open mouth, insert fingers'...
i have been wondering when she would figure out how to suck on her thumbs/fingers. she had occasionally (and rather accidentally, i imagine) found her entire fist. but she also seemed to find that a bit difficult to appease her sucking desire. so, as of yesterday, my little angel is now a finger sucker. mind you, it is only an occasional thing, but it is a new and glorious thing! :)

i don't want her to become a long-term thumb sucker. and my dad would shake his head to hear that she has started such a bad habit. but for now it is too cute. and what a sound it makes!! *shlerp, shlerp* hee hee. i can't help but giggle at my developing little wonderball.

in addition to the finger sucking, she is also clasping her hands in front and starting to bat at toys. i am so excited to see that she is starting to gain interest in things and is becoming able to express that interest physically.

what will she do next?!
